Huttig® Building Products, Inc. is one of the nation's leading distributors of millwork and specialty building products for new residential construction and remodeling. Founded 131 years ago, Huttig serves dealers in 41 states through 27 distribution centers covering a substantial portion of the US housing market. Our customer base includes:

Two-Step Distribution

We conduct our business through a two-step distribution model. This means that we resell the products we purchase from manufacturers to our customers, who then sell the products to the final end users who are typically professional builders and independent contractors engaged in residential construction projects. This two-step model allows Huttig to service the dealer customers through value-added services such as pre-hanging doors and cutting engineered wood products for job-specific requirements. In addition, with respect to almost all of our products, we have the capability to buy in bulk and disaggregate these large shipments to meet individual customer requirements.

Our two-step distribution model allows us to provide our dealer customers value-added services. Through relationships with leading manufacturers built over our 131-year existence, Huttig offers an extensive inventory to our local and national account dealer customers through our various locations. This approach enables us to work with our customers and suppliers to ensure that local inventory levels, merchandising, purchasing and pricing are tailored to meet the requirements of each market.
